Dreaming of European sun, thermal springs, and a slice of authentic Italian island life?
Let creative tastemaker Eloise Jaksic be your guide to Ischia—a lesser-known gem in the Bay of Naples that effortlessly blends natural beauty and local charm with la dolce vita.
From the serene village vibes of Sant’Angelo to sunset dinners in Forio and secret spots for pottery lovers, Eloise has curated her personal must-sees, eats, and stays, on the island all the Italians go to holiday.
Must See:
My favourite area is Sant Angelo. A beautiful, picturesque part of the island. Not too touristy!

Must Stay:
San Michele Hotel & Spa
Must Eat:
For a cheap eat, visit Da Pasquale Pizzeria Ristorante. Grab a focaccia from the mini markets and sit by the water.
For dinner, book a table at Umberto a Mare in Forio. Hands down the best sunset on the island, with great food, wine & service!

Must Do:
Visit the thermal baths in Negombo, and the Giardino Eden Resort. Then spend an afternoon at Rena, the exclusive beach club and restaurant on the beautiful Maronti beach (the longest beach on the island), right in the heart of Ischia.

Must Shop:
The island is known for their amazing pottery. There is a pottery shop in almost every town on the island. My favourite - Il Pirata Ceramiche Artistiche
Put Ischia on to top of your must-travel list! It's the Italian island gem that will have you wishing you stayed longer. (Trust us, we've been!)
