Care Guide
How to care for your leather & suede bags
Leather is a natural material — it softens and develops character as you carry it. Lined with hemp and made to last, your bag asks for very little: keep it dry, store it well, and let it age.
Wipe and spot clean only
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Spot clean marks gently — never soak or machine wash leather or suede.
Store in the dust bag
Keep your bag in the dust bag provided when it's not in use, lightly filled to hold its shape.
Keep it dry and cool
Avoid prolonged damp, direct heat and strong sun, which can dry out or mark the leather.
Condition occasionally
An occasional leather conditioner keeps the hide supple. For suede, use a dry suede brush only.
Do
- Store in the dust bag
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth
- Keep it dry
- Condition occasionally
Don't
- Machine wash
- Soak in water
- Dry near direct heat
- Overstuff it (it warps the shape)
A natural material
Small marks, grain variation and softening over time are part of leather's character, not flaws. Treated gently, your bag is made to age beautifully.
My leather bag got wet — what do I do?
Blot (don't rub) with a dry cloth and let it air dry away from direct heat. Avoid the radiator or hairdryer.
Can I clean suede?
Spot clean only, using a dry suede brush. Keep it away from water and store it in the dust bag.
How do I keep the shape?
Store it lightly filled in its dust bag and avoid overloading it day to day.
Suede & leather, looked after
Groom suede with a suede brush or eraser, and seal it with a suede-approved protector and waterproofer to guard against water and stains. Don’t overwork a mark — it can lighten the colour. Natural veins and slight colour variation are part of the leather, not flaws.
If a darker bag transfers colour
Darker suedes and leathers can carry a little excess dye that may transfer, especially when damp. Test a new bag by wiping the inside with a damp light cloth — if any colour lifts, wipe the whole bag evenly (avoiding the logo), dry on a low hairdryer from ~20cm, then seal with a suede-approved protector and leave overnight.
The gold foil logo
Our gold logo is foil-stamped by hand and softens over time with heat, humidity and rubbing — so avoid touching it directly. A fading logo is natural wear, not a fault, and isn’t covered by returns.
Can I treat my suede bag myself?
Yes — a suede brush and a suede-approved protector or shampoo are ideal. Always follow the product’s own instructions; we can’t be responsible for damage from third-party care products.
