What has your career journey looked like so far?
My career journey has been a roller coaster, with every opportunity and challenge shaping who I am today. Looking back, I feel immense gratitude for the hard work I've invested. All the seeds I've planted have genuinely blossomed, allowing me to naturally enjoy the progress I've made along the way.
Over the years, I've deeply connected with my creative spirit, embracing diverse experiences in Creative Direction, Fashion & Interior Styling, Photography, Content Creation, Modeling and Acting. Each of these areas have contributed to building the five versions of Prim Haus.
Every experience has been unique to its own, adding depth to my career and instilling a sense of accomplishment that empowers me to tackle anything that comes my way. My heart beats like that of an artist—a phoenix rising from setbacks. With a newfound appreciation for my individuality, I'm excited to fully lean into my creativity and fall in love with the journey ahead. I live, breathe, and embody the essence of being a full-fledged creative.

What does a typical working day look like for you?
No day is the same as the other, but it always begins with a matcha! As a business owner and freelancer I tend to work 7 days a week and take breaks and hours off where I can. Some days can be filled from travelling to being on-set or occupied by my studio, often meeting brands and event coordinators and organising their bookings. The in between is filled with a lot of hours on my laptop or phone managing emails, edits and socials. I like to organise my meetings in cafes for the connection to the community.. and I walk as much as possible to keep myself fit.
Favourite project you have collaborated on or brand you have shot for so far in your career?
It would have to be ALPHA H Skincare. They booked me to be the face of their Campaign. We shot on the beach in Melbourne and when the product launched they promoted it around all the major cities of Australia on billboards. Coincidentally there was one on the end of my Studio Street, and it was the coolest thing to drive by everytime I would head home.

Any advice for girls wanting to put themselves out there on social media? How do you decide what to share?
Just be you! Authenticity is key to enjoying social media. When you don't try to be anyone but yourself you can connect with integrity to brands and people who align with you. I like to think of my Instagram as a portfolio, a place where I can showcase my eye and share what I'm into. I often share the work I do, but I also like to highlight personal moments to make it feel more meaningful to who I am.
What is the inspiration behind Prim Haus, and where do you source your incredible furniture?
Prim Haus was originally the Haus of Prim Mist - a misting product I created during covid when I was exploring how to weave my path during a pandemic. After spending all my savings on producing the product, I needed to market it. I came up with a concept and opened the doors to my home as a content studio and invited influencers through to shoot in exchange for promoting my product. Like a ripple effect, I then had brands reach out offering me money to use my home as a studio to shoot. From that moment, Prim Haus was officially a thing! and 5 studios later the brand is constantly evolving, keeping me connected to the industry, to like minded creatives and the most wonderful array of unexpected connections.
Originally, I was drawn to Bauhaus furniture. Leather and Chrome then became an obsession and was the anchor to my sourcing... from this, I then leant into the architecture of the spaces I found to build out the branding of my studios. I have been obsessed for decades by that cliché New York loft aesthetic.. so that's also influenced my choice in furniture. Where I source from - is always a secret. I don't kiss and furniture tells.

Biggest lesson learnt in business?
One of the biggest lessons I've learned in business is the importance of adaptability. The ability to pivot and change strategies in response to market trends, customer feedback, or unforeseen challenges can be crucial for success. Staying flexible allows you to seize new opportunities and effectively navigate obstacles.
Additionally, building strong relationships is key. Networking and fostering connections with clients, partners, and employees creates a supportive environment where collaboration thrives. Trust and communication can significantly impact the effectiveness of a business.
Finally, understanding the value of persistence is vital. Many setbacks will arise, but staying committed and maintaining a positive mindset can lead to growth and triumph. Embracing failures as learning experiences can ultimately pave the way to success.

What are your thoughts on confidence; is it something you're born with, or is it a skill to cultivate?
For me personally, the more connected I am to myself, the more assured I become. That sense of self resonates strongly, influencing everything from how I carry myself in a room full of strangers to walking down the street. When I'm in tune with who I am, it transforms my presence and how others perceive me, allowing me to navigate the world with greater ease and self-assurance.
For anyone visiting Sydney, what's the city's biggest hidden gem?
Prim Haus, of course!

Who is your style icon?
Pinterest. I have folders saved of many icons... from Bianca Jagger to Kate Moss, Erin Wasson to Chlöe Sevigny.
What’s your version of a perfect Sunday?
Sunday is always a day to unwind. I love to relax with a sleepin, followed by a Yoga class or a visit to a bathhouse or massage. Sadly this can't be every Sunday as I often work, but when a weekend comes that allows for this - it's always a strive for this state of bliss! It helps me center myself for the week ahead.
What’s the boldest thing you’re manifesting for this year?
To take my personal and professional brand international.
